It worked but you can no longer remove the drive...well you can but the system will crash.

That was the warning that SCSI BIOS gave. I tried it anyway...no help. I tried all the other settings you mentioned as well.

The JAZ BIOS flash is definitely worth a try since this a refurbished Jaz that I bought three years ago for the Mac. I have never flashed its bios and wonder how I can do it now since I can't get the computer to run with it (Jaz) attached. Put it back on the Mac, maybe, just to flash. Then theres the platform compatability question if I did that... But I will look into it. If the version JAZ BIOS is not supported under NT 4.0 then any new adapter card would also not work of course, so I had better make sure. Thx for bringing up the Jaz BIOS, very critical to have it supported, haha..your analytical skills are well tuned and I appreciate, as always, your help with this matter:)
