Wall Street is pumping banking stocks and Tyco today. Can you believe an $80 target on TYC??? That tells me that the stock tanked faster than these brokerages could dump. And they are scared to death that they will be holding when the SEC completes their investigation. So they upgrade and give it an $80 target, so that you and I are tempted to buy . . .so that they can dump into our buying. . . and leave us to hold the bag for the investigation. No way. As William says, there are plenty other stocks out there to buy. Wall Street is traditionally very brutal toward any company with accounting irregularities of any sort. . . .why change now?

They are also pumping bank stocks on us. Now why would I want to be heavy with bank stocks going into Y2K? They are not as prepared as they want us to believe. . . and stand much to lose, should there be problems.

Also, those companies that worked on solving the Y2K problem are really in the soup. If the corporations they "resolved" find problems. . .guess who is going to have a pile of lawsuits come the first few weeks of January. So yesterday there was activity in some of the Y2K software service companies. . . I would not fall into that trap either.

Man, it is dangerous out there. . . land mines all over the place. One thing I do know. . . Cash is King. . . .we have made some extraordinary gains, these past 6 weeks. Don't be eager to give them up. . . .I have picked an arbitrary equity figure that was hit yesterday. . . and have made it a goal. . . that I will end the year at no lower than that figure.

So any significant advances from here to the end of the year are to be PRUDENT. .. or perhaps in the case of our sleepers. . .LUCKY.
