What is the difference between the 20's and now!? Are you serious about this question? Well, the entire financial picture is different, for starters. Consider derivatives, for example. And then there is the additional knowledge and experience on part of theoriticians and central bankers. The international capital flow is more free. Information technology has changed the speed at which information is dissipated. The US industrial base has shifted from manufacturing to services (less cyclical). These are only a few differences. Come on, you were kidding, right?
