I have heard of BIOSs being installed on adapter cards but never on a hard or removable drive.

You appear to be correct. Nothing on the Iomega site in reference to BIOS or BIOS upgrades.

Zp & I were just scraping the bottom of the bowl for reasons this Jaz won't let NT finish booting. Appears that the conversation between the Jaz and my SCSI BIOS is not going well and the possibility of some sort of upgrade to the Jaz made sense since it is of an older vintage. Looks like another dead end though. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a new adapter card as you recommended a month ago and I really don't want to discover later that the problem has to do with a vintage device on a newer OS> Just had to give getting it to work with my existing hardware a good shot first.
