Jeff, Because of losses in past years, Qdel will not have any taxes to pay for many quarters. According to one of the analysts' reports I've seen, (VanKasper, Principal Equities, Wedbush Morgan, don't recall which one), Qdel's tax loss carryforwards will offset any income for several years-obviously, this is good news for current Qdel shareholders because the losses are (hopefully) all behind them and the next few years of income should be completely free from federal corporate tax!!!!!
