I distinctly recall Fore bought an ethernet company to sell ethernet
products, because that is what their clients wanted. As I understand
their strategy, they put in ATM backbone, ATM to desktop where needed,
and fast Ethernet where it is adequate. Am I wrong about this?wj

Check out this link and see if you find any product that is Ethernet that FORE sells. They do have swithces that will switch Ethernet onto an ATM backbone. However, they do not sell the Ethernet product.
