If the US defends Taiwan against China, you will see a market crash the likes of which will dwarf 1929 IMO regardless of where people are trying to put their money. If the US doesn't defend Taiwan against a Chinese attack, we will still crash as the US would be viewed as weak. Gold and Swiss Francs would be a safer haven. It would take years for the tech stocks to recover. The earthquake in Taiwan spooked the market bigtime. Missiles launching and taking out infrastructure in Taiwan - I don't even want to think about it. jmanvegas
