I don't know from technology, but as retired corporate/tax attorney I do know from counting outstanding stock. As of last year, the SEC filings showed Radisys with outstanding stock of 7.7 million and Intel owning 1.6 million. That's 21.78%. There are no filings with the SEC (as there would have to be--unless my bad eyes missed something) indicating Intel ever disposed of any shares. The company has consistently talked about Intel owning 17% of the shares. Where'd the missing 4.78% (368,000 shares) go? It's not really important in the grand scheme of things, just interesting.

In case you didn't know, SEC filings also indicate that even after unloading some shares last yrar, Techtronics still owns 12.5% of the outstanding shares. The parent company of the Twentieth Century Fund owns 8%, and in March, another fund, on behalf of customers, bought 5%. The fascinating thing about the Twentieth Century Fund's parent is that if you read the filing carefully, you discover that some of the shares it acquired was for US Robotics at a time when US Robotics and 3Com were fondling each other but hadn't yet jumped into the sack.
