I was going to pack it in for the weekend, but I couldn't resist making a comment on this before I left.

I never dreamed that the Zit would get some action again, but it just goes to show you that even the most obscene frauds have a way of returning from the dead again and again and again.

Isn't it amazing how the Zit always seems to have its finger in some subsidiary that happens to be peripherally involved with the hot-topic du jour? in 1996 it was an investment in Matridigm and the Y2K hoax...today it's their Datametrics division and Linux (at least Linux is the real deal...however, the Datametrics product is trivial).

I would caution against shorting the Zit too quickly - even if it runs up to 10+. This stock is highly manipulated and a lot of hedge funds suffered massive buy-ins in late 1996 when Zitel touts spread false rumors about George Soros investing in the company (sounds incredibly silly in hindsight, doesn't it?).

Let's watch it and see what happens. Who knows, there may be an excellent shorting opportunity a further down the road.

In the meantime, I'm sure Steve K(r)aplan will amuse us by creating a "Zitel-Linux.com" web site and then touting it through various phony aliases on the Yahoo Zitel board...just like he did with the fraudulent "Matridigm-Keane.com" web site. If we're really lucky, we'll get all the old shills back to post their hysterical rants (Deep Digm, Bonnies Guy, OpticalGuy, and all the rest of the nuts...COME ON DOWN!!)
