Agreed totally. However, my guess is that they are now at the mercy of their web designer, who may be having trouble linking up a vital part of their site. . . remember web designers are totally swamped with work these days. . . so much that they can pick and choose the jobs they want.
Another thing is that the toy stores with live websites have been having terrible trouble with order fulfillment. I am sure that PlayCo realizes this and wants to make certain that there are not similar problems.
Which is worse?
Launching late and only getting say 30% of the Christmas shopper potential. . . but doing a perfect job of processing and order fulfillment, thus pleasing your customers, while growing the company?
Or launching early. . .and getting 90% of the Christmas shopper potential. . .but screwing up processing, losing orders, running into back orders, falling behind in picking, packing and shipping, and making enemies of your customers?
Piper, I can tell you that if you are frustrated now, you would be far more frustrated, should the latter be the case. I do sympathize, but am more patient, seeing as I realize the enormous amount of hours that go into the building of a major site.
