Even though it costs less on digital to take photos and keep only those you want, it is still better to try to make the one and only photo you need. When I was growing up in Washington, DC, and photography was my hobby, I used to visit a studio whose owner made very expensive color shots using a Devin one-shot camera (three color-separation photos made simultaneously), printing the results with the old fashioned carbro process. Because of the time and expense, he took ONLY ONE SHOT. His specialty was portraits. He once flew to Bermuda to photograph the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and their relatives. He took one photo of a group of about 14 and promptly flew back to Washington. The shot was superb. Lesson: Make each shot count! Art
