Re: TYC
I have been trying to sift through the wheat and chaff with TYC to try to figure out the extent the "accounting issues" may be legit. Tice has been very careful to point out that he has not claimed "accounting irregularities," but just said something to the effect that TYC has been taking liberties that border on "stretching," not necessarily breaking, the rules. (Who doesn't--but that is an entirely different topic altogether for discussion.) It appears that the company has requested this SEC "informal peek" for a couple of reasons: 1) To have them check under Tice's skirt to see if he has any "shorts," and 2) To clear them. DK has defended his company's practices vehemently, but so did Chainsaw Al. However, I can not understand why anyone (with the possible exception of EM, of course) would invite and publicize an SEC inquiry unless they were absolutely sure they would not be found to be even slightly guilty.
Sooo, what is your take on this. In your opinion, is mid-upper 20s a value there or simply a replay of CPQ at, say, 35?
Considering your position, would appreciate your in depth analysis. If you think it more appropriate, please PM.
Thanks.
