Richard, I don't know what you mean by "quickly" but 20 won't be seen for 12-18 months. I too started buying at 4 but for ta reasons. The burger wars are part of the mix. MCD's recent attempt, and a feable attempt it is, won't change the mix because dealers (cheap customers with the loyalty of a rattlesnake) don't get a deal at MCD - at least the kind they're looking for. MCD is using a slick promo approach that won't work imho. Bait 'em with the lure of a 55 cent sandwich and then spring the regular priced drink and fries on them. FM's rise to 20 will happen because earnings will grow faster than sales. Throw in the possibility of a settlement with Vons, and we also have the potential for a multi-point gap up. Give investors a chance to see how FM will reduce debt in one giant swoop (Vons settlement) and we'll think that fm found the pied piper. As things continue to improve, we'll see more analysts jumping on board, albeit rather late to the party.
