Availability of Globalstar phones in Europe. I called few people today asking questions about the Globalstar phones. It looks like the Telit GSM/Globalstar phone is now available and is selling very fast even though Europe only has friendly trials running. The phone is big and bold but nice features and excellent performance overweigh the bulkiness. The marine phone BS was talking about in the CC is this Telit phone in a kit from ICS (UK company?), 400 sold in Italy and more announcements to come from other service providers. Ericsson is off to a very slow start,no units available! This seems to be the Ericcson style, very slow response to the market, late in producing new models, but when they come, excellent quality. Maybe Globalstar should ask Nokia or Samsung to make some fancy products, like the new Samsung phone with colour TV? The pre-sales according to my source are exceeding any expcetations. Just hope this is true. Thomas L
