I don't mind paying plumbers, etc, to buy him (and me) freedom from these house things at all; he hates them and I hate seeing him do them; he has enough stress at work. I understand that -- used to feel that way. But actually, I now find doing certain chores is a stress buster and VERY satisfying. And it takes no more time than calling around to find a plumber and waiting around 'till they come. And cleaning up after them.
