Pre-adolescents misplace EVERYTHING. Mine even misplaced a cat once.

But I fear were are straying from the purpose of this thread. It's evening and I'm heading home to put my feet up and sip a soothing cup of Darjeeling (I think Margaret Hope's Estate 2nd flush muscatel tonight, the Goomtee Estate second flush will be a bit too strident, or perhaps the Namring Estate Autumnal with its rounder flavor would suit me best this foggy evening.) I will quaff my cup with fond thoughts of you and a little daydreaming about what might have been if you had lingered a bit longer in the ingelnook.

Missed opportunities -- the story of our brief relationship.
