Dear Shareholders,

Firstly I disclose that I am a Director of Barramundi Gold Ltd. Whilst I and my fellow Directors have no desire to stifle debate or to do anything other than act on behalf of our shareholders, I personally feel that many of the questions which have been raised in the recent Silicon Investor postings were addressed comprehensively at the recent EGM.

At this meeting almost 60% of shareholders cast a vote and either voted 100% or close thereto in favour of ratifying the Newmont transactions and in ratifying Bob Burbans resignation and to remove him as a Director. The votes in favour of these resolutions did not only come from the Board of Directors, but from all three ex-Directors of the Company, large and small shareholders with no association with current Board, and even some of the property vendors-in all what I consider to be a fair cross-section of our shareholders.

I do not propose to carry on a debate on Silicon Investor as Press Releases are the normal and statutary means by which listed Companies disseminate information, but I also wish to convey the message the Board is responsible to the Shareholders but as far as we are concerned the EGM was the appropriate forum for most of the issues raised by Mr. Converse and others to be addressed.

I also believe that while Mr. Converse has disclosed his name, it may also be appropriate for shareholders to realise that he is "related" to Mr. Burban and this may impact his view of the Company and present management.

John Haley
Director
