If they intend to close the deal before Dec 31 then I expect it will be closed before Dec 24 as it is practically impossible to get closure on any deal during the week of Christmas. That gives us 2 weeks. I do not think this will preclude them from making an announcement similar to VENs today to communicate 'explicitly' rather than 'implicitly' to the public the change in corporate direction, the proposed name change and a pre announcement of it's next deal under consideration.(in the bag really)

The company has done virtually no promotion as yet and while I would expect anything major to begin in the new year, the continued steps of positioning can and should happen as we close 99 IMHO. The sharpening of market interest should build and lead up to the January market which in all likelyhood will be quite robust once we get past the Y2K paranoia. I would see that as the beginning of most companys promo for 2000. As such there will be lots of competition for those investor dollars then. That is why now is the time to be priming and preparing the market. I won't pretend to be advisor to the company of course but I think this makes sense. Any comments from the galary are welcome.
