Joel,

I wonder how this will affect video as well as DVD sales down the road? Someone could make perfect copies of their favorite movies for all of their friends especially with HDTV finally rolling out.

There is the 5C copyright protection technology from Sony, Intel, Matsushita, Hitachi and Toshiba. This appears to lead over another technology from the Thomson and Zenith camp.
