Barb, I couldn't get shares at Smith, Barney or at Bear, Stearns. I was, however, able to get a decent number of shares at Yamner (DLJ). But then they took away 3/4 of them after-hours.

I think your point about the stock residing in cash accounts is correct. If so, the borrow situation should be easier on Monday (unless it takes longer than a day to automatically move stock from cash to margin accounts--don't know).
