Opalapril,

High end publishing solutions is high speed/high volume copiers - 135 to 180 pages per minute. They are used to print manuals as well as individualized mass printings (credit card/bank statements). High end publishing solutions are typically found in copy centers vs slower/smaller copiers which are distributed throughout an enterprise.

Outsourcing is adding labor/management services to a copier lease contract. The operation/management of copiers is outsourced to Xerox. The copier customer has a focal point to deal with for copiers, supplies, maintenance, labor, etc. It is like contracting with Xerox to buy a bundle of services rather than buying with it on an ala carte basis.

Channels refers to the reseller/retail channel. Typically, simplier, less expensive products like computer printers, toner cartridges, software, etc, which don't require the involvement of a commissioned sales reps are categorized as channels products. Think of it as getting into HP's or Lexmark's business.

These business segments are in contrast to the traditional mainline Xerox business where a sales rep typically just leases or sells copiers.

Regards,
Wolverine
