Glenn and Thread,

I haven't looked at SI's profile of Rambus or their financials but I did this am and found these tidbits. Here for the threads enjoyment and thoughtful analysis are my tidbits.

beta.siliconinvestor.com

Shares Out 23.55 mil
Float 18.40 mil
Institutional Holdings % 66.70

beta.siliconinvestor.com

Common Stock $.001 Par, 6/99, 60M auth., 23,548,606 issd. Insiders own 22%. IPO 5/97, 3,162,500 shares @ $12.00 by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.

Analyst Footnotes: Company converted all Preferred Stock into 11,296,822 Common Stock upon IPO completion

-------------------------------------
23.55 mil outstanding with 15.71 mil [66%] held by institutions and 5.18 mil [22%] held by insiders leaves just 2.66 mil for all the rest of us including Stuart and his group's 1.3? mil. With >10 mil short??

When the Rambus market perception changes, and it could, very, very quickly, particularly if a few wise analysts (is there such a thing?) look past their noses and laid out the big picture, i.e. the other 65% of the business that the media so blindly ignores, some of which was so tantalizingly covered in the conference call, I'd sure hate to be short.
