12/10/99 - Qualcomm ships CDMA trimode software Dec. 10, 1999 (Electronic Buyers News - CMP via COMTEX) -- Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, has begun shipping its trimode software product, which enables wireless handsets to support two CDMA frequencies-800 and 1,900 MHz-as well as the 800-MHz AMPS-based analog standard. The software, available in Qualcomm's CDMA-based chipset line, the MSM3100, also supports wireless data at speeds up to 86.4 Kbits/s. -0-
