MRVC, ended up 5 15/16. A Linux play of sorts that blew over the resistance that I mentioned in the post yesterday. The clean break puts it at an all time high. This has been of my better trading stocks this year. Moves reliably.
Got positive mention in today's Barrons as well.
Here's a recent piece mentioning the Linux tie in but the company is much more than just that. Good SI thread on MRVC too.

Linux Architecture Also Wins Best Networking Communications Product Category
CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1999--NBase-Xyplex, a division of MRV Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:MRVC - news), today announced that it has won Corporate IT Australia Best of Show at the NetWorld + Interop 1999 show in Sydney, Australia for its Open Linux architecture. The Open Linux Inter-Networking architecture also won the award for Best Networking/Communications Product.
Noam Lotan, president and chief executive officer commented: ''Linux powers the majority of internet service providers' servers. We are extremely pleased that the breakthrough capabilities of our Linux architecture have been formally recognized with this win in the Networld + Interop Best of Show Awards.''
Two elements combine to create the power of the Open Linux architecture: the Open Source Linux operating system, used as a common interface for software and hardware internetworking applications; and a powerful hardware-processing engine, capable of analyzing and modifying any level of the data packets.
The result is a platform capable of integrating complex internetworking applications such as routing, firewall and load balancing with the power of hardware packet-processors, implemented in an array of programmable ASICs.
