Hello all LSI faithful - I received in the mail today a promotional booklet from Michael Murphy, touting his newsletter. On page 12 he has a column entitled "Blue Chip Microchips." And without naming the company he's talking about, he goes into chapter and verse about what a great investment opportunity this "mystery" company is, and how his old friend Wilf Corrigan has really turned things around. ("Someone I've known for many, many years. In fact I first met Wilf back in his days with Fairchild Camera.") In this two page article he says: "I've never wanted to own the stock until now...the company has turned the corner...It is the dominant player in one of the most profitable and least volatile niches. And it is headed for soaring sales and profits that could easily triple our money over the next couple years...Wilf Corrigan has his company on the verge of stardom..and a small investment in it now could easily propel you to three times the wealth over the next couple years..." A lot of hype but I'm sure it warms your heart just the same. Now a question for you - LSI's market cap seems way too low - just under $9 billion. With sales quickly approaching the $2 billion mark, isn't this company a takeover target, for say someone like Broadcom? Just my thoughts - let me know what you think! Charlie R
