regarding upchannel last week: I expected a breakout upward after busting thru the inverted triangle... 90% of the time, a breakout from such a triangle does NOT get restrained by an upchannel... I maintain the bustout will go above the upchannel's upper boundary very shortly in the past year we have been above the upchannel about 20-30% of the time... they are guidelines when not much is happening I think Birinyi is off, just being conservative with other people's money... I think the rally will climb a small wall of Y2K worry, but after Jan1st skyrocket over and over thru earnings announcments... Lazlo seems to be ignoring the mindboggling benefits of $800-1100 billion in information systems investments nothing about Y2K will be typical this is a one-time event, the likes of which we will never see twice / jim
