Hi-tech I can buy. I will use up to 4 18" flat screeens

Are you limited for desk space? I would stick to 21 inch monitors for now. Viewsonic - I can't knock eizo though - used to have their old nanao - nice product.

interesting,http://www.ttrc.com/computers/f5.html but

The more proprietary something is - the more I try to avoid it - try to make your station as generic as possible with parts that are always carried in stock at local stores. Say one of your special order 18 inch flat screens go down for a day - even with overnight you are looking at possibly missing a whole trading day with that screen - whereas if you could replace the monitor locally - you could be back up in 20-30 minutes. We are all rich folks here though - you could buy a few flat screens to store in the closet cause you never know.

to put into it. Are the new motherboards now ready for the fastest P3 733MHZ Chips sets using RDRAM.

www.tomshardware.com always supplied me with good info - but again make sure you can get replacement parts locally within 20-30 minutes. A fan might go bad - and melted chips gets expensive - you just never know.

Should I just go with the best Dell has to offer...?

Again - is this the most generic system you can get with the quickest availability of replacement parts? Think maintenance - you may never need it - but you never know. Time is money.

Is Dual Processors necessary or advised for this app...??

Unless you have software designed to symetrically task against the processors - it would be wasteful.

Remember this is a Ultimate Trade Station ONY and will be
feeding either Frame Relay or DSL or both. It cannot crash so NT
is a must. What is this new MS 2000 product...?

Definitely both FR and DSL if you can afford it - better safe than sorry. Preferrable through different access points. As for crashing HAHA! Why do you think linux has gained so many followers? Memory leaks anyone?

Long term look at your health too - preventaion is the best medicine - don't forget ergonomics - and efficient systems than do not slow you down in order entry - the mouse can damage you long term - you may want to look at alternative input devices. I use the DR Mouse - it has alleviated the RSI. fentek-ind.com (and yes there are two in the closet - cause you never know) :-)
