There is another, more plausible explaination. Suppose Brocade really did turn down Intel. The only sane explaination would be that they (Brocade) already had a similar agreement with CSCO and they could not jeopardize that. Much like Ancor could not work with CMNT due to their relationship with Inrange. If this scenario is accurate (my personal speculation) it is up to Ancor/Intel to make CSCO pay for making a poor vendor decision. I base my speculation on Reyes ramblings at the SSB conference.
