Why does this account seem to have the ring of truth to it you suppose? Could it be because it is consistent with the way PABN has been acting and how little they have managed to accomplish these last 18 months?
Interesting Message from AOL Board.
On Thursday, December 9th I requested and recieved PABN's Investor Relations Information via fax on demand. Considering that I live in fairly close proximity to several of the Long Island addresses given by PABN, I decided to visit these locations and see what I could un-cover.
When I called PABN's investor relations (516-951-1638) on Wednesday December 8, 1999, the recorded message stated that Insider Trading agreed to be acquired by PABN in June of 1998 and that Insider Trading is one of four component organizations that comprise PABN. In addition, the Investor Relations Information literature I recieved via fax on demand Thursday December 8, 1999 also states that Insider Trading is one of the four component organizations that comprise PABN.
While not giving a phone number for Insider Trading, the Investor Relations literatue listed the address for Insider Trading as 600 Old Country Road, Suite 318, Garden City New York 11530. When I arrived at this address, Insider Trading was in fact located there and appeared to me to be operational. However, the receptionist told me that Insider Trading was no longer affiliated with PABN. As of Friday December 10, 1999 at 6:55 PM, the recorded message at PABN's investor relations still states that Insider Trading is one of the four component organizations that comprise PABN. (Note: There is always the possibility that the receptionist at Insider Trading was mistaken.)
When I was back in my car I attempted to get a phone number, other than the investor relations number, for PABN's corporate office, which the Investor Relations literature states is located at 300 Wheeler Rd, Suite 108, Happauge, NY 11788. Sprint PCS Directory Assistance showed no listing for PABN. I then went to a public phone to see if Bell Atlantic Directory Assistance had a listing for PABN, they did not. In addition, I checked with 800 directory assistance (1- 800-555-1212), and they too had no listing for PABN in New York, although they did have a PanAmerican Bank in Calif. (1-888-391-7004).
Next I went to the address in Uniondale New York (EAB Plaza, West Tower, 6th Floor, Uniondale , NY 11556) that PABN gives as the corporate office for PanAmerican Healthcorp, another of the four component organizations PABN states in their literature, and on their recorded message, that comprise PABN. I could not find Pan American Healthcorp in the directory at this location. I then decided to go to the 6th floor to see if anybody knew anything about PanAmerican Healthcorp. I arbitrarily walked in to an office and asked a woman if she knew where PanAmerican Healthcorp was. She told me that they moved about a month ago. She then told me that they also operated under the name CodeCare and gave me a business card. The address for CodeCare is the same as the address that PABN lists as thier corporate office; 300 Wheeler Road, Suite 108, Happauge, NY 11788. Additionally, when I dialed the phone number on the CodeCare business card (1-800-797-7066), the phone was answered by a woman, "PanAmerican Bank". I then began to explain that I had gone to Insider Trading and was told that they are not affiliated with PABN. The woman told me that I would have to speak with investor relations, took my name and number and told me someone would get back to me. When I asked her for her name, she told me she was just a secretary and would not give me her name. (Note: as of 8:00 PM Friday, December 10, 1999 I have not recieved a return phone call from investor relations)
Everything I have stated above is truthful and by no means whatsoever states any opinion regarding PABN. This statement is in no way accusatory and does not infer any wrong doing on the part of PABN. I am simply stating what I did, and what I found out.
Hopefully this information can be a starting point for others who wish to do some investigative research on PABN, which can enable them to form their own opinions regarding PABN.
