mr. mark, you have been kind enough to answer some questions I had in the past for which I'm thankful.

My friend has the following problem:

He is running Win95 and while in DOS mode inadvertantly deleted all his files in the C:\WIN directory with the infamous "del *.*" command. He had to reboot once and he successfully rebooted but could only come up in DOS mode.

He needs to recover the delted files. He can only run in DOS mode. He does not have an emergency boot disk.

Is there a recovery program which will do the trick?

Will my Win 95 upgrade disks be able to help him?
