At the local Fry's, I saw five Athlon systems on display -- IBM, Compaq and a house brand -- and only one HP Coppermine system. The latter featured pathetic 8M integrated graphics memory, not a good selling point for a $2,500 machine.

OTOH, there were three PIII-500 coppermine notebooks at $3,XXX.
