I think I mentioned in a PM to Stan that the Exodus IDC's remind me of almost a 'fab' because it is not just any garage, building or rental space. Specific climate control, highly trained staff, lots of expensive equipment that needs to be protected from any sort of damage as well as high security, a tier one and tier two (maybe even three) power supply, back up systems and mission critical status to keep everything up and running at all times, etc... . Although not as a high a barrier to entry as a fiber optics laser fab, certainly enough of barrier to limit a glut of similar players from just hopping into the business model. All of this results in giving a lead time to a leader like Exodus who owns, what was it Stan - 25% of the market space already.

I haven't studied the business model well enough, but I see elements that could lend itself in two directions. I will study some more later tonight and try to get a fix on it.
