No...Just curious why so many people can believe so fervently in a Biblical text that was essentially edited to promote an orthodox view who's purpose was not to spread "the Word," but to perpetuate a bureaucracy of specific men with a specific temporal agenda. Consider the following from The Gospel of Philip: "...the companion of the Savior is Mary Magdalene. But Christ loved her more than all the disciples, and used to kiss her often on her mouth. The rest of the disciples were offended... They said to him, "Why do you love her more than all of us? the Savior answered and said to them, "Why do I not love you as I love her?" This quote would tend to undermine the authority of the Church as it basis its mandate from Jesus's relation to Peter. Thus it was expunged....burned.....in the third century, only to resurface in 1945. This is my point....Does anyone on this thread ever question the authenticity of the New Testament? Given the overwhelming evidence available to scholars today, why not....I'm serious?
