Have to disagree on the CSCO/LU debate.

I spent a great deal of time investing in the router space and made excellent money on both companies.

However, LU has a more diversified product mix and has been in opteoelectronics and wireless for years. That dynamic "West Coast" company you refer to, seems a little slow in figuring out optics and wireless.

Additionally, JNPR is eating their lunch in the backbone as ASND continues to in ATM/FRAME. They never were competitive in RAS/RAC.

The word on the street in the sales world, is CSCO burns their sales reps out in a couple of years and its high turnover. Many of our young reps have migrated there.

What is impressive is their uncanny ability to manage the street, their marketing savvy and their dominance in the enterprise.

LU has a lower P/E and is better positioned, IMO.
