Archiving e-mail-

I would appreciate any advice on how to archive e-mail on a different drive and still retain the ability to read it with Netscape Communicator 4.7.

I recently moved several large (12-30 MB) e-mail files from my C to my D drive with the assistance of Norton Utilities. There each e-mail folder becomes an SNM file and a file that Windows characterizes as a "FILE". I can read the text files with a text file reader like QuickView, but not with Netscape.

These e-mail files are too large to search with a text reader. I can't figure out a way to link them to open in the current e-mail window of my Netscape Communicator. I can't move them back because I am running out of disk space on drive C.

Any ideas appreciated.

George D.
