"GLSetup is instrumental to the delivery of Quake3:Arena. GLSetup gives us confidence that Quake3:Arena will operate out of the box on a wide variety of consumer hardware. Without the ability to redistribute drivers in a robust way we would have to make the unrealistic assumption that our consumers happen to have the most up to date display drivers already installed.

OpenGL is a powerful 3D graphics library that game developers find a joy to use. Until now, there has not been a reliable mechanism for the redistrubtion of up to date OpenGL drivers across a wide array of platforms. GLSetup addresses this situation elegantly, allowing game developers to support OpenGL as their primary 3D acceleration library without reservation."

Creative's glossary does define OpenGL"

OpenGL A 3-D graphics language developed by Silicon Graphics. There are two main implementations: Microsoft OpenGL, developed by Microsoft and Cosmo OpenGL, developed by Silicon Graphics. Microsoft OpenGL is built into Windows NT and is designed to improve performance on hardware that supports the OpenGL standard. Cosmo OpenGL, on the other hand, is a software-only implementation specifically designed for machines that do not have a graphics accelerator.

So I expect your card will ultimately work.
You may need to contact Creative as the download files do not seem to address the Open GL drive. Here is a link to the downloadable drivers assuming you are on windows 95/98
