Bart Fisher, Managing Partner of Capital House, LLC, stated, "We are delighted to be working with CBQ to expand its reach in electronic commerce.

Now where could the expanded reach be going to??? Well I did some digging ... From there site and one of their resources is ...

Executive Training Beijing, Peoples Republic of China

Project Leaders are: Bart S. Fisher

Capital House is working in China on the development of an institute for management and executive training in Beijing and Shandong Province. Bart Fisher has worked on joint ventures in China since 1982 and has taken th lead in this area.

ALso on November 1, 1999 ....

Capital House Merchant Banking, a Washington, D.C.-based merchant bank, today announced the creation of its joint venture with El Economista, to develop the markets of Mexico and Central America for electronic commerce and to distribute and cross-promote the editorial content of the publications of El Economista on the Lycos Am‚ricas Internet service.
Capital House is working with Lycos to develop its Lycos Am‚ricas Internet service.

This could also answer the expansion statement but also this statement in the news release by Mr. Fisher....

Our mission will be to provide the financial and management resources needed to develop CBQ into the premiere facilitator of business-to-business electronic commerce.

Now, with November?s historic agreement paving the way for China to enter the World Trade Organization (WTO), the internet has been hyping all these Chinese deals and speculating on how this is going to help these chinese business companies ... Guess who this Bart Fisher is and his possible role in the WTO scenario...

Now read this news release Novemeber 16, 1999!!!!

Exerpts are:

Now, China is fighting back. It has hired Fisher and a Beijing law firm, Zy & Partners, to challenge the rulings in the United States. Under U.S. law, China can request a review to determine if an economic sector is market oriented and thus no longer subject to withering anti-dumping duties.

One last point ...

Capital House is a privately-held merchant bank based in Washington, D.C., that has invested in the development of the Internet through joint ventures with its clients and affiliates, such as Lycos, Ampex, e-Medicine, Refer-Net, Information Super Station, and Executive Branch Webcasting's service EXBTV, which will televise the activities of the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government.

Why did they not mention the Chinese connection Executive Training Beijing, Peoples Republic of China?

Hmmm something must be up !!!!

capitalhouse.com has a lot of information ...

:-)
