William: OK, lets look at the implication -- the implication is that money supply is not growing to offset investment flows to Japan as this is being done by Europeans -- and we are using pretty rough and ready conceptual yardsticks here as you know. Then why the spike in money supply and where is it going? This INCREASES the odds that it is coming to jump the y2k river and that it is spiking the stock market as well -- leaving one to conclude that, come January and February, there will be either too much growth, or more than a tap on the brakes. Either way, the New Year looks like hangover city.
