Nokia would benefit greatly from a closer relationship with QCOM: - from an engineering standpoint - to improve mfg yield by sharing with their existing (perhaps still troubled) licensed CDMA mfg operations - to receive the latest & best in the CDMA chipset developmt - to integrate the latest new features like voice recognition - to be first in line for (potentially short supply) CDMA supplies - to solidify their Number#1 position as wireless phone vendor, and to prevent Mot, Ericy, Samsung from closing in / JW
