To Elwood;

Greetings. For what it is worth, MSN shows institutional ownership at 42.5% up from 40.7% one month ago. Regardless of what actual number is there is little doubt that there is accumulation by institutions. Increased institutional ownership of course removes cpq shares from total supply since institutions tend not to trade in and out like non-institutions. Reduced short-term supply will of course result in increased prices. Remember, that about two years ago institutions held about 75% of cpq stock. We can all well imagine what would happen to cpq stock if institutional ownership again reached the 75% level. In fact, if we reached 75% I would not, imho, be surprised to see the old highs taken out.

We'll get there, until then we will have to be content to argue among ourselves as to when this will occur. My guess is that six to nine months from now institutional ownership will be 70% or better and this pig of a stock will 55 - 60.
