Do you think that Go2net will make a serious attempt to challenge Yhoo, Lcos, and Xcit head on and break into the top five most trafficked network of web sites ? How do you think they will do it ? It seems as if they are always a step behind. Yahoo is extending internationally and go2net just rolled out free email last month. Lycos has a neat advertising campaign with the lab that helps seperate themsleves and create an indivdual name. I brought this up one time before and know one responded. How can Go2net continue to compete in areas that are already saturated by other players and not be the head and shoulders leader ? S.I. is in a highly competitive segment. Hypermart is being challenged heavily by Amazon's new business hosting roll-out, as well as many other players. Search engines ? We have other companies that focus and specialize on that alone. Goto, Ask jeeves. 100hot is not recognized by anyone for its purpose. Playsite gets about a few thousand users at a time. Microsoft games has tens of thousands at once. What will Go2net do in the future to break out and individualize themselves as a company ?
