Hi All,

I just installed a second monitor on a machine using two single video cards. The first card is an ati rage fury, the 2nd an ati all in wonder. Both monitors are the same

Win98 picked up the second monitor just fine, however since then my modem has not been working. I get an error message saying "Error 630: the computer does not receive a response from the modem. check that the modem is plugged in, and if necessary, turn the modem off, and then turn it back on".

My guess is that is some sort of conflict between the modem and the video cards, the question is how to fix it?

I am running on an Abit BH6 motherboard, with the first video card taking up my AGP slot, the 2nd video card is right below it in the first pci slot, and the modem is below the 2nd video card in the 2nd pci slot. the rest of my -3- pci slots are empty, and then there is my sound card.

Any help on how to resolve this hardware conflict would be greatly appreciated.... TIA

Regards,

Frank
