MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1999--

eFax.com to Have Extensive Visibility on Office Update
Site for Range of Messaging Services to Business Users
eFax.com (NASDAQ: EFAX), the world's leading Internet provider of Unified Messaging services, today announced a distribution partnership with Microsoft Corp. eFax.com will be the premium provider of Internet unified messaging solutions in Microsoft Office Update's new e-Services section (http://officeupdate.microsoft.com). As part of the partnership, eFax.com will receive special promotional opportunities, including permanent links on the Office home page, Word, Excel and Outlook home pages, and all download pages.

The Microsoft Office Update site, the companion site to the Microsoft Office web site, is the most popular Office-related web site. Its customer profile closely matches that of eFax.com, targeting mobile professionals and small and home office businesses.

"We are expanding the range of services we offer our Office customers to provide ongoing, added value to them, while improving their productivity," said Jeff Olund, director, Microsoft Office. "eFax.com's faxing and voicemail services, and its integration with Microsoft Outlook, make it a valuable service for Office users."

"The Microsoft Office customer is the center of the bulls-eye for eFax.com," said Ron Brown, vice president of marketing for eFax.com. "This partnership allows us broad visibility against a very high-quality target, and we expect to develop a strong working relationship."

The agreement between Microsoft and eFax.com provides Office Update users free fax-to-email accounts when they sign-up, free voice mail, and a special trial offer for eFax Send, providing 20 pages free in the U.S. and Canada.>>

All they need to do now is have text to voice translation so wireless customers can get email they can hear, instead of trying to read it on that little screen.
