To all:

Has anyone called JTS to see when earnings will be reported? I received "Power Up" a discount computer, HW, SW, accessories mag. It listed JTS 3.5" drives with capacities ranging from 1.0 to 3.0 GB. JTS prices are clearly cheaper than the other "Brand Names" The brand name drives do have faster seek times 8.5 - 12msec (avg. 12)- JTS -14 msec. and Spindle speeds from 7200 -3600 (avg 4800) JTS -4500. Not being the most techical person, I would buy the cheaper JTS drive. Does the increase in speed of these two specs make that big a difference in perfromance ? In some cases the difference in price b/t JTS and lets say Maxtor was $100.00 (2.O GB). That was after a mail in rebate for $30.00 (Maxtor). Also, all drive makers list 3 year warranty.
