The retail price has plenty of room to move downward. Right now, GMPCS has the lowest price for a satphone airtime on the planet--cheaper than Iridium for a better quality product, orders of magnitude cheaper than GMPCS customers have been paying for Inmarsat service--why should it publish a lower MSRP? OTH, let Irid or another of the several G* retailers offer a lower price, and I expect we'll see GMPCS "discount" to match--and with neglibible pressure on G*'s wholesale rate.
