so would you say that Go2net had no choice but to take the second approach you mentioned ? If that is in fact true, because they entered the game so late, then they have done an amazing job with it.

Go2net knew in the beggining how late they were to the party and had to take a different approach. in retrospect, that Paul Allen investment gave them the fuel to compete with and eventually have a chance to pass Jeremy Mcgrath (holeshot leader/YHOO) the only way they could at the time.
