A quick check in the channel shows almost 5:1 or 6:1 on K6:Athlon SKUs. I would have thought this would start heading toward 4:1 by this point in time and am somewhat surprised that it is not happening. Either AMD is out of Athlons for the quarter or there is some problem along the way. Assuming the worst, I wouldn't be surprised if the quarter ends up being significantly higher K6 sales and only a modest upside on Athlon (which means the earnings upside is limited). That would still mean double digit earnings but not so grossly out of line with management guidance to justify a preannouncement.
