Brightpoint and Nextel Enter Into Agreement for Distribution of Accessories in the United States
INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 1999--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL - news) announced today that its North American subsidiary, Brightpoint North America, Inc., has entered into an agreement with Nextel Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:NXTL - news) and certain of its affiliates. Under the agreement, Brightpoint has been appointed the sole authorized distributor of Nextel-branded accessories to Nextel's Indirect Channels in the United States. Brightpoint will provide services such as product acquisition, product packaging, and sales and marketing activities focused on Nextel accessories.
