The stock also saw increased volume towards the end of the day and finished at the highs of the day. DRMD - 8 1/16 Monday morning the company reported that it has received FDA ok to market brain monitoring system that monitors that monitors oxygen, carbon dioxide, acidity, and temperature in the brain. [at time of posting, I don't see any news this a.m. at Yahoo] NSM - 47 7/8 On Thursday National Semiconductor Corporation reported net earnings of $70.4 million, or 37 cents per share. This number beat the street estimates by 10 cents. The CEO of the company said "Our ongoing strong bookings make me increasingly confident that we can offset the usual holiday seasonal weakness and sequentially grow sales in our third fiscal quarter." He went on to say "Our excellent position in this market, coupled with lower operating expenses and increasing factory efficiencies should drive continued improvement in gross margins and earnings per share".
