Larry, do you really think it makes a rat's ass bit of difference if VLNC reaches a breakeven in cash-flows 4Q99 vs 1Q00 vs 2Q00? The issue of management credibility is important, but I'm not sure that management has made statements about timing, etc. that have turned out to be seriously erroneous. The only thing that matters right now, IMHO, is a) whether the company can procure additional sales, b) whether they can satisfactorily manufacture the product, and c) how quickly they can ramp up their manufacturing capacity.
The other issues, such as whether Mooter made prediction about something happening by a certain time frame, at least to my mind are largely irrelevant. Given what appears to me to be a "belts and suspenders" approach to investing (and I don't mean that as a pejorative), you probably shouldn't be involved in the stock. No doubt about it, VLNC is not a stock for widows and orphans.
Unless the optomists such as Mooter happen to be correct, that is. |
